It's a fair question. The MagnumLite design philosophy also allows for a much larger sized spool diameter and larger gearing, while retaining the lighter weight.

I have run both the 2023 Vanquish 4000XG and 4000MHG and they are lighter than most 2500 sized Core Solid reels.
