Here's the catch...

Here are some pics of the fish I usually catch in the lakes around my town - Bucharest. There are also some pics of trout fishing (fly fishing & lure) in the mountains...

The biggest density of fish is made of pike and zander (European walleye). The best lure for pike (bigger or smaller) still is the good old oscillating spoon in silver while the zander are best attracted by jigs and soft plastics (shad-shaped plastics such as Mr. Twister Sassy Shad).

In a day or two I'll pe adding some pics with my new Steez 103HL coupled with a Daiko Scylas in action... I've caught some nice pike in the 6 to 7 lbs. range and the Steez performed flawlessly...

theres some real nice pike. for a while there i thought they were swedish. very nice pike

They might look like Swedish, but they're 100% Romanian

It was a tough time for my ZPI tuned up Morrum Sx1601C Forell... In two trips it took out of the water more than 60 pike, most of them in the 3 to 4.5 kilos, with "peaks" of up to 6 kg. Lucky for me, those two trips I put the reel on a MBR864X GL3 that had the power to muscle all those fish.
