Introduction: Bait Finesse may be new technique to many US anglers but the practice of using finesse baitcasting equipment has been a popular technique overseas for years and continues to gain momentum here in America as more anglers are discovering just how effective and enjoyable the technique can be. Bait Finesse System (BFS) is using baitcasting reels and rods to cast light lures usually needed for a spinning reel.

Nice job, HWK!
Thank you. I got a lot of info from this forum and the main site. Glad to be able to share some of the BFS knowledge I acquired over the last 10 plus years.

More articles to come.

Great job, good stuff. I like doing reviews on here and still keep my fingers crossed I can find my way into the fishing industry one day. I have faith your Youtube channel will take off too. Just better content. More will come guaranteed.

Love baitcast tackle. Love trout fishing. BFS is the way to go.
While BFS may have a close association with bass fishing, BFS/UL baitcast tackle is also great (fun) for trout...
And BFS tackle can be used in so many instances.

To me BFS is just another example of "just because you can, doesn't mean you should".

UL spinning is a unfussy and pure - throwing casting gear into the mix introduces unnecessary complications. Each to his own but give me the click-click-click of a stripping spinning reel's drag any day.

BFS is definitely a preference. I find myself casting with more precision and also having softer lure landing in the water.

Most BFS reels have a similar click-click-click as a spinning reel.
