I know they are not available everywhere and many folks haven't handled them so I wanted to mention that I absolutely love mine. I have the 7'3" MH casting rod and it is the best value rod I've ever bought. Extremely sensitive, balanced, and very light. I'll probably have more...

What’s the balance point with a reel and without a reel? Does it feel like it wants to be neutral, slightly tip up or tip down?

Kage = Shadow

These are among the most under rated rods I've ever seen, held, or fished and they are named appropriately. Fortunately, TT is a Daiwa Kage dealer so I've had the opportunity to check them out and fish some of them. The new UL series is a blast and the reels are sweet too! As is with the current Tatula line up, Kage rods fish well above their price point in my experience.

To answer a few of the questions. The Kage rods are around $200. I have been using one of the Frog rods for the past year and i am completely satisfied with it. Not a technique that demands top sensitivity but the rod seem well above average in that department. I have also handled, not fished, some of the "swimbait" rods as well as spinning rods. All the rods I have handled felt very good and I have been really impressed with the ultralights.

From a marketing stand point I wish they had not branded some of the spinning rods as "walleye" rods. Some of them look very interesting and I'm afraid the "walleye" branding will limit the appeal to bass anglers.

I haven't been on here in a while but to offer my $.02...

The rod balances nearly perfect with a Tatula Elite. I really can't ask for anything more in a MH all-purpose bass rod.
