Why don't people like Hot Sauce?

Is there something wrong with it, or does it just not work?

It dries up, gets gummy and loses lubricity over time. It attracts and holds solid particles. It stains the paint on most reels.
Try not to let your mind wander. It is much too small to be outside unsupervised.

Okay. Thanks.
I've been using it for a long time, and, other than the red color, I've never noticed it getting gummy or dirty. I'll check my reels for that now.

I used to use it, as well. Then I bought Abu Silicote grease. Never bought any more Hot Sauce,
after that. I've tried lots of different greases after that, but the only other grease I currently use is Cal's tan for drag washers. I will actually mix a little of that with the Silicote grease for most gear lubrication now, as it seems to hold the lube in place a hair better when used in very hot climates.

Let's be honest... Its probably better than cooking oil... Probably...

Stains plastics and have seen some severely worn parts from the grease too...

Great on enchiladas, burritos and nachos! Huge fan of it just not in or around reels.

I've never tried it on a spinning reel, just on baitcasters in fresh water. Maybe that's why I haven't had bad results.

I used it on a couple bait casters.. While I didn't have any bad results, I didn't care for the red stained parts later on.

Just like hoohoorjoo, I use Abu Silicote for all moving parts and Cal's drag grease for drag washers and gears.
