Tulala Monstruo 710
Tulala Monstruo 710
Well I pulled the trigger, sight unseen on this swim-bait rod from Japan. The workmanship is exceptional, and the blank looks to be strong as nails, yet with a pleasantly soft tip that should handle baits from 1-4oz. with relative ease...

I am in the process of trying to obtain my first Tulala.
Re: Tulala Monstruo 710
Yes I will. I plan to use it this Friday night. Will be chasing some snook in the surf and inlets. Hopefully I'll connect on a good one to see what this rod can really do. BTW thanks for your help with this.Aquaftm45 wrote: ↑Wed Aug 07, 2019 1:35 pmReverendo wrote: ↑Wed Aug 07, 2019 1:25 pmWell I pulled the trigger, sight unseen on this swim-bait rod from Japan. That’s fantastic! I recommend checking out DRT USA site. I was pleasantly surprised with what they are now making available in the US and the DRT/Tulala offering sitting in the rods menu.
Re: Tulala Monstruo 710
Wow..your a hound-dog, not a polkfish. Who would have thought to look at a USA website for a JDM rod! Too bad I just spent all my available fishing funds on Harmonix Staccato 7'8.
That must be one little 7'3 stiffy to be rated at 1-4oz. If they have one there has to be more to come. They sent over a boatload of 17, will be interesting to watch that number.
Re: Tulala Monstruo 710
The Monstruo 710 is rated for from 3/8 - 7 ounce baits. This made me think it would be quite stiff, but it was just the contrary. Judging from the moderate tip, it should do well with 1-3oz. baits. I cannot imagine swinging a 6-7oz. bait with it.
