Opinions on $250-$350 reel
Lookin at a future purchase reel to match with a Dobyns DX746c preferably in the $250-$350 range. I’ve got Daiwa’s and Shimano DC’s and wanna see what the next tier level of reels has to offer. I will use this as a heavy cover jig rod and creature baits. I’ve looked at bantams and zillions and also chronarchs buuuuuut I just love how damn sexy the Steez sv looks I know the Steez is out of the price range but I was curious what everyone thought of a good heavy cover reel in the price of what I want..... thanks for any input

Since you like the looks of the Steez TW and what you described as your intended use, check out the Steez A.

Scratch that, thought I read Steez TW.

You should be able to find one used in excellent shape for that price range.SapperTyler wrote: ↑Sat Jun 08, 2019 2:44 pmLookin at a future purchase reel to match with a Dobyns DX746c preferably in the $250-$350 range. Bantam is a damn solid reel for what you are looking for.

X2 on the Bantam, on a 746, it's money!

How does the bantam mgl feel in hand size wise to other reels? I have a Tatula 150, Tatula SV, Tatula 100 and Curado DC. Does it feel close to the size of those, smaller or bigger? I’ve seen a lot of videos talkin about how solid of a reel it is and it definitely has my vote.
Re: Opinions on $250-$350 reel
Fits between the Tat SV and the Tat 100. Just a smidge bigger then the new tat.
Re: Opinions on $250-$350 reel
I had a Bantam and replaced it with a Steez A, there is big difference between the two it's on another level over the Bantam in just about every respect.

Look in the classifieds for a SV 103 XS. They are easily in your price range and are great workhorse reels with lots of spool options. I have purchased a couple new in box from the classifieds.

If you could throw another $20 on top of that digitaka sells the steez A for $370 , free shipping.

Save yourself some time, angst, and in the long run, money... and just go for the reel you're drooling over now.

Agreed, you will likely end up buying it later, even if you dont right now.
Try not to let your mind wander. It is much too small to be outside unsupervised.
