Re: 2019 Casting Lineup
Closer shot of the reels. The Steez A has RCS cork knobs.
Re: 2019 Casting Lineup
That's a nice mix of magic!
Re: 2019 Casting Lineup
Great combos from different makes.
Re: 2019 Casting Lineup
I enjoy the side by side of the Morethan and IP68. The TD Zillion platform looks considerably wider than the Steez TW platform except near the front of the reel where the Steez TW is wider. The Tatula 100 appears to be surprisingly similar in size to the Steez TW. Good to know.

I have a new Alpha CT on its way. Maybe I’ll do a few shots comparing the Daiwas when I get it later this week.LowRange wrote:I enjoy the side by side of the Morethan and IP68. Re: 2019 Casting Lineup
It's all the Major Craft MS-X's except the 76BB, A Zillion 801MHRB-Glass deep cranking rod, and a Zillion 801HFB flipping stick.
I just thought they looked cool on that Kastking rack and didn't know where else to post it.
On all the Major Craft rods I used green rod gloves for the ones with braid and gunmetal for the ones with fluoro.

This is the way.

Nice gear Hobey, what techniques do you use them for? I love my 894c!
Take it off!

Re: 2019 Casting Lineup
This may have changed since I posted.
894 - 1/2 oz+ jigs for flipping milfoil, Carolina rig
893 - 3/8 Texas rigs
Javelin - DT14, 5XD, and MB Deep 6. I'm probably the only person in the world that uses the rod for this, but I crank milfoil weed lines with straight braid with this rod. Rip the bait through the milfoil and get a reaction bite. There's just enough backbone with good tip action for this technique.
LE MHF - Frog rod, back up jig
844 - 1/2 oz all arounder
843 - 3/8 oz all arounder
110 Special - Jerkbaits (110 specials, shadow raps)
Elite Tech SM MXF - small topwater (1/4 oz pop r) and jerk baits (pointer 78s)
It has changed a little. I sold off the Metanium and purchased a Curado DC XG for the Legend Elite. The Elite Tech SM now has a Alpha CT on it which is a sweet little reel. I also bought a couple of Legend Xtreme recoil models that are 6'6 MHF and paired them up with Tatula 100s for the kayak.

Noice.
