Alphas CT 70 in stock at Digitaka!

Post by Jkitchens » Fri Feb 15, 2019 1:42 pm

As I scrolled through eBay today looking for a new or mint purple Alphas I stumbled across a Alphas CT 70! Saw the seller was Digitaka so I went over to the website and ordered mine, 70SH 8-) ... Can’t wait to fish it!

Ordering two. I've owned 4 alphas in the past, so I'm not scared of a skinnier version.

I have one on the way as well along with a new alphas sv. Side by side comparison will be done.

I have a Alphas SV 105 which I really like.
Is this CT 70 the successor of the 105?
70 vs 105 suggest it be smaller/lighter but weight is almost the same.

Its the same reel with a different color scheme and a smaller 30mm spool. It looks to be the successor to the 15 alphas sv.

It's not lighter. It's not smaller - only the spool. The spool holds roughly 20 - 25 yards less of line, and is made of the G1 duraluminum material. So the spool will be lighter than that of the Alphas SV. On paper, that should translate to better finesse capabilities, but I'm going to hold off until I hear some user reports. I'm assuming the performance will be on par with the SV Light Limited.

I just realized this reel has the Steez style handle bolt. Nice touch

Spool looks to be same as in new Steez CT so performance should be very similar for lot less money

I ordered one yesterday but I'm fairly surrounded with frozen water so I won't be giving any usage feedback anytime soon ](*,) ](*,)
