7'1" Rayz Spectra deffo worth a good look. It fishes very well on the light end, 3-4g.

Anyone on this board knows of a 8' single piece UL rod in the market? Curious.

Thanks.

Just have a custom rod built to your specs. With CRB or Matagi carbon tube handle assemblies, you can push a blank out almost 1 foot longer than the blank length, depending on how long you need the rear grip to be.
Try not to let your mind wander. It is much too small to be outside unsupervised.

How are the Phenix Iron feather rods?

They sell a 7'1" and a 7'7" one piece.

3/16oz is my most used weight for fishing rivers for large browns.

Bronzeback...you mentioned the weight of your most used lure at 3/16. What lb test is your most used line?

3/16, 10 lbs braid. Seems like you may do better with L rather than UL rods? normally trout rods are UL but your type of fishing may land fish more efficiently (defined by landing fish with highest % success per hour of time invested and in the shortest fight time possible to land) by using L blanks, or heavier UL blanks that on the higher power range within the UL category. However, it may be more enjoyable to fight fish on a rod that is more limber and one can feel the bend from the fish more...:)

This is, of course, all conjecture as only you know exactly what you need. :D

How large is your average fish? Presumably trout?

not sure how if its high end enough, but the G. Loomis Trout series rods are awesome and they make a 7'6 UL one peice rod.

I have the TSR791 (6'7 UL one peice) and its awesome.

but I do wish I got the 7'6 one peice version instead.

I forgot about a rod a while back and just remembered today.

The St-Croix Legend Elite 7'6" ml or the 7' light
