Nice dude. Maybe I should pick up that chromed square A...I usually stick to Tennessee shad and chartreuse. Not that it matters a ton when they are stuffing their faces.

Thanks JD! Catching one like that here is like catching a 20lb. bass, super rare.

At first I thought it was a catfish, never came to surface and pulled line a few times. Luckily that 22" bass didnt fight as hard and no jumping.

Bowfin, will take you on a ride every time.
I dont care if I catch them, its the removal of the hook that scares me. I try to take the hook out without having them in the boat.

I love to cross over my bass fishing techniques into saltwater when chasing redfish and trout, and when the cold weather hits the area, it’s time to move to the marsh where these techniques really work well. Chatterbaits and frogs are my top baits in these areas and the redfish really hammer them. Thick milfoil and eel grass make it tough to throw many other “normal” redfish baits, and it gets exciting when they are ripping drag and taking you all through the grass. Jackall Break Blade has become my bait of choice with a slight modification, and fishes much better than the over priced Jackhammer.

They can definitely have that glow at times. Caught another about 50’ away that was washed out pink looking. No idea what causes the color changes, but it’s cool to see!
