Post by BRONZEBACK32 »

What would you guys say the best Megabass rod would be for tubes, 1/4oz head in 3.5" coffee tube?

Right now I'm using the NRX 852..

I use a MB XX Shakey head rod for that. I'm sure a lot will say the new Destroyer Addermine would be great, but I dont own one, yet. I would guess the 852 you have would be great for that, too.

I should have been more specific, I'm looking for the best casting megabass rod for tubes.

I've had very good success hopping a 3/8oz tube on my Daemos, no problem downsizing to 1/4.

You're already using one of the most sensitive rods on the market. I'm not sure you'll be able to equal that with a Megabass unless or willing to spend some serious coin.

In the past I have used my 610 DGS for tubes and it has been great. Just ordered a new Addermine yesterday, so very interested to see how this rod does in the future.

I have the Addermine, its a awesome rod and very sensitive and will work awesome for tubes depending on the weight.
I use the Addermine for dropshot.
The tubes I use most are 3.5" with a 1/4oz tube jig head.
