Comparison: Daiwa Tatula, Cronos, Steez XT?

Post by Big-Bass » Mon Aug 06, 2018 4:58 pm

So right now I have the three of these rods brand new with tags and am wondering what to keep and what (if any) to send back.

Tatula 7' Medium Light Regular Casting (1/4-5/8) - (already have one of these that I use for jerkbaits/cranks with an SV103H but this is an extra)
Cronos 7' Medium Light Regular Casting (1/4-5/8)
Steez XT 7' Medium Regular Casting (1/8-1)

These rods all have great actions and seem a little faster than the "regular" rating.  What techniques would you use them for and what would you keep?  Thanks and best wishes on the water!

Unfortunately my Tatula is just collecting dust as I use both the Cronos and Steez XT you mentioned.

Cronos 7'M I use for underspins, soft jerkbaits and small swimbaits
Steez XT 7'M is my go to for hard jerkbaits, topwater, squarebills and swimbaits.

The Tatula is a decent rod I just choose these two rods over them.

What reels do you have on them? Also, does the Steez XT lockdown screw scratch the reel foot on the reel you have on it? Thanks!

Sorry hadn't been on TT for a couple of days. Work gets in the way.

I have all Tatula and Zillion SV's.,

I have not noticed any damage on my reels from my rods. I will say after every outing I take all of my reels off the rods and put them away.
