Looking for Mebaru rods under 7 feet.
Looking for Mebaru rods under 7 feet.
I am wanting to purchase a high end Mebaru rod under 7 feet. I know Tict has the ICE CUBE line up....I already have the Rockin’ Drift. If I can’t find any other brand I can always purchase the Rockin’ Power or Finesse model. I have scoured the internet looking but so far all I can find are the Tict lineup. Any help would be much appreciated.

Don't know anything about Mebaru rods, but I like learning new things and doing research.
Do these two series fall into your catagory?
The 6'11 MLS
http://www.daiwa.com/jp/fishing/item/ro ... index.html
The 6'9 or 6'10
Their Storia line might also fall into your requirements

Re: Looking for Mebaru rods under 7 feet.
Thanks for responding. The Daiwa Ajing rods I am very familiar with. I should have stated my intent for the rod. I want it for fishing for crappie 1st.....bluegill 2nd. The Daiwa Ajing rods IMHO are too stiff to make good crappie rods. I have read as much as I can find about the Luxxe Rods.....but they do peak my interest......light as feather.Aquaftm45 wrote:Don't know anything about Mebaru rods, but I like learning new things and doing research.

You might look into River Runners from Fenwick. These are a bit softer than many of the Major Craft Ajing rods.
Re: Looking for Mebaru rods under 7 feet.
Thanks for the response. Used River Runners a lot.......used to own 4 of them.....good rods...but I went down the JDM road about 5 years back and with the exception of maybe trying the new St Croix Legend Elite Panfish Rods I don’t see myself getting back into US domestic rods. I need some more Mebaru rods....got too many Ajing rods. Of course a high end area trout rod would be great for crappie fishing also.earthworm77 wrote:You might look into River Runners from Fenwick. Re: Looking for Mebaru rods under 7 feet.
Graphiteleader makes rods for Evergreen, in graphite tech I think they are really at the top of the heap. The Evergreen Salty Sensation is also well worth a look. I was using a BB Hitman last night in the suds....sweet stick.
Re: Looking for Mebaru rods under 7 feet.
PSSS-57T Rocky Dagger seems like the only short Mebaru tubular tip stick they do. Based on the blurb it looks ideal for accurate casting to cover and dragging fish out.
As always Alphahawk, I look forward to hearing what you end up buying and how it performs. You definitely won't regret adding a Grahiteleader or Evergreen rod to your collection.

Thanks much....looking at Salty Sensation Poseidon PSSS 610S Limber Tip. Not a lot of info on their website about guides....how much carbon......not sure what type of rod it is. But it sure looks like it might fit the build with the line and lure specs.....I would assume from the price it has titanium guide frames. Once again thanks for all the help you have provided me.Allsorts wrote:Graphiteleader makes rods for Evergreen, in graphite tech I think they are really at the top of the heap. Definitely Ti guides. If you do a Google search for rod name and forum, you will find a fair bit about it on Russian forums. With translation you can get a pretty good idea as the feedback tends to be detailed and of high quality. FWIW Limber Tip seems to get good press. Don't worry.about the graphite content. It will be crisp, sensitive and perfectly balanced. Your MCs.may not feel the same....

Re: Looking for Mebaru rods under 7 feet.
After a lot of thought and research...and after a 2 week trip out to Yellowstone which consumed a lot of money...LOL....I decided to go with the new Tict Ice Cube Rockin Finesse 6’ 9” rod with the new Sic-S guides. The new Sic-S guides are half the size of regular Sic...thus giving some weight savings. I really wanted the EverGreen Limber Tip but I could not find one and if I could it was going to be around 500 bucks. So it will have to wait for another day. Will report back on how the rod performs. The intended use is for crappie and bluegill.
