Do I need to change reels or line?

Reels are the hottest topic for TackleTour. Everyone wants to know what the latest and greatest is and how they compare to the old guard. What's the best for light stuff, or what's your suggestion for heavy cover. Do we really need different retrieve ratios? It's all in here.

It's got to be an issue with the 50# Trilene braid. I made a long cast today in the grass that emptied the spool of line down to the tape and paced it out to 180ish feet and 70 turns of the handle 8:1 to recover all the line. That's barely 60 yards. The stuff must run big in diameter.

I have 50# Sufix 832 and I've only got about 75 yards of line on my Citica's.
slip bobbing is the laziest way to fish

I think you need more line and that's all.

I have been using PE Special 6.3 for almost 5/6 years with shallower spool, IZE Zillion PE Long cast spool... (Hyperion Braid 16x, Pe5 = 70-75m ).

Back to the righty and just managed to get another PE Special 2 days ago and it was still brand new :)

Cheers,
