St. Croix Big Cranker compared with 7' MH Mod Crankbait

Post by jbabin193 » Fri Apr 20, 2018 8:23 am

Both of these rods are listed as MH Moderate action. They both have the same lure ratings. How do they compare? I have the St. Croix Avid X in 7' MH Moderate and it works for square bills... wouldn't think it would work for something like a dd-22 or SK 5XD. What are the limitations of the big cranker?

A 5XD maxes out the big cranker imo.
Try not to let your mind wander. It is much too small to be outside unsupervised.

That’s what I was afraid of.
