That's just not appealing to me, but to each, his own.
Try not to let your mind wander. It is much too small to be outside unsupervised.

What is their targeted market/species for this reel? We use this reel in the slower ratios for mid-sized swimbaits in the the U.S. The 8.4 ratio sure won't be preferred for this. I don't think that this reel is study enough to grind on big fast moving fish over long periods of time. I am curious to know how the Asian market uses this reel.

Deps is famous for swimbaits so i guess that is the market.

It would be interesting to see what a few big pike and musky caught on swimbaits from your neck of the woods will do to this reel. There is probably some new type of jigging in Japan that I am unaware of that they are going to do with this reel. Damn, I've already got too many JDM lures. I can't afford a lure category.

We wouldn't even look at this reel. Tranx and Conquest 300 minimum. The inertia from the Strike would rip the reel from the rod.

Maybe make a good... snakehead reel? Or...punching?
Damned if I know what I'd use it for personally. Probably be a good fit for smaller glide baits like deps 175 slide swimmer.

Looks pretty cool though. I love that z2020/z200, but I ended up selling mine as I couldn't find a good use for it. Too much reel for normal applications, not enough reel for big bait applications.

Musky use...no. Too fast/not powerful enough.
See if the paint on this latest Z actually holds and then after the price drops ad a set of lower gears.
Not a musky reel at all as it sits, 100mm handle or not.

Are the deps reels known for having flakey paint jobs(pun intended)? I can't remember them having issues.
Agree with ya on the other points.

Im not a fan of red but I do kinda like the looks of this one. Kind of cool that they used 2 different shades of red(though I like the shade on the sides better).

I wonder what this means? :-k

What do you mean not a musky reel? You can catch a musky on an aldebaran.

I think these guys set no drag and flip them into the boat. You can catch giant GT with the smallest size Saltiga, so muskie should be no problem.
