Custom Kistler H3 MAD 7'-4"

Post by jbabin193 » Wed Feb 14, 2018 2:36 pm

Had Trey over at Kistler make me this custom H3 MAD rod... I have the 7'-11" MAD, which is exceptional, but wanted a shorter rod on the same blank. This thing is sweet... 7'-4" Heavy Moderate... up to 3oz. This blank can handle 10XD's, Swimbaits, A-rigs, Punching, Jigs.... very versatile and weighs in under 5oz (right around 4.6oz) Fuji K guides, EVA butt to absorb shocks...

Sweet! I picked up a HE3 on Black Friday. Only used a couple of times but so far I'm very impressed.

would be interesting to test against my 7'3 Hexfast HE3. I would say the HE3 fishes like a Fast action but man does it have some power.

Sounds like a winner! I have a 7-6 H3 X-fast coming with Sic guides and a full cork grip. :big grin:

wow... guess it's been a while since posting pictures in a forum... didn't realize photobucket shut that down.

I really like my H3 7'-0" HEF... agree with you, not EF at all.. more modfast to me. But very versatile, I use mine for frogs and chatterbaits.

Got the pics fixed... stupid photobucket, what a boneheaded move on their part.

Very nice. Those North Fork IM blanks are very good...I own several in the Edge First Strike flavor. I also am having a problem with photobucket...starting to really dislike that site.

If you have gmail or google account, use google photos. that's what i just switched to.

Little trick to get the pics to post though. Open the pic in google photos, copy link, paste link, add "?.jpeg" to end of link address.
