Daiwa Steez 103HL options?
Hey fish a JDM Steez 103HL which has lived up to every task however even though its as good as it is Ive been wondering if there have been any upgraded parts for it and where to buy them?? I cast down to 1/4oz baits on it but its tricky.

Man, where to begin? There are a myriad of spools out there that will easily get down to 1/8 oz. The most budget-friendly option is this spool. It drops right in, no modification necessary:DetroitBassN wrote:Hey fish a JDM Steez 103HL which has lived up to every task however even though its as good as it is Ive been wondering if there have been any upgraded parts for it and where to buy them?? With it, I can easily cast a #5 shallow shad rap as far as I want to. I have also comfortably thrown a 1/16 Strike King spinnerbait with a 2.5" curlytail trailer (with 15# braid). The rod you are using is also a key component of tossing very light lures on baitcasting gear.
Try not to let your mind wander. It is much too small to be outside unsupervised.

If you can give me an idea as to what you want to do with the reel, I can give you a recommendation as to which spool will work best for you. I've plugged and played many spools into that reel. Is there something you want it to do that isn't working for you now?

Just cast lighter lures easier.

The spool I mentioned is the ticket if that's your goal.DetroitBassN wrote:Just cast lighter lures easier.

Tims suggestion if you're on a budget. Otherwise -DetroitBassN wrote:Just cast lighter lures easier.

Thanks, the 103HL handles down to a 1/4oz decently but was wondering if their was a spool option before hunting down a Pity.
