An even newer Daiwa Tatula Lt.......Silver variant?
An even newer Daiwa Tatula Lt.......Silver variant?
Friend of mine was at the Big Rock show (dealer show) and was shown a 3000 sized Tatula LT spinner in a silver color instead of the black. (I'm too impatient to wait to hear back from my other friend...who showed my friend the reel )
With my limited usage of the tatula LT in a 2k size......I think it's truly a nice reel. Definitely in the running for best in $$ class.
Anyone have the scoop on the silver one? Is it just a paint job? Don't expect they could do much in terms of upgrades. BB knobs, cf washers (not really an upgrade) daiwa mo grease lubed,
The gear set in it is already spectacular

My source says they will be called Tatula Sterling. They are going to make a BC version too. These will be the same mechanically as the regular versions just a limited production run to "match" the Tatula Elite rods. These Sterling Editions are not going to replace the existing models.
Re: Daiwa Tatula Lt.......Silver variant?
Oh that's awesome...I bet they will look really slick on the Elite rods!

Just got some pics and confirmed color is the only difference. Sweet looking.daiwafan wrote:My source says they will be called Tatula Sterling. They are going to make a BC version too. I've tried and failed way too many times in the past to post a pic. So here's a link

Sitting here thinking of our conversation and I'm not entirely sure about the BC version. We were talking about Tatula LT reels and Tatula SV reels and now I'm not for certain that there will be both types, but I thought we were talking about Tatula SV at the time the Sterling Edition was mentioned. I reckon time will tell...
Re: Daiwa Tatula Lt.......Silver variant?
I really like the reel! Will it be offered in all models or just the 3000? Either way, I may look into one when they come out! Any idea on time frame? Classic? Thanks!

I was told by my friend who attended the show....3k only....I didn't ask my friend who sent the pics who was the person from daiwa showing my friend at the show...Big-Bass wrote:I really like the reel! It's basically saying....Hey stradic.....look over here....then drops it's pants and moons it.
Re: An even newer Daiwa Tatula Lt.......Silver variant?
I might have to get one!
Re: An even newer Daiwa Tatula Lt.......Silver variant?
A few weeks ago on another forum, a guy said he got word that a limited edition Tatula was coming out.(mentioned here) He also said there is going to be a new Tatula CT. Also the Steez A will include 5.1 and 8.1 gear ratios. Hope this is true.
Re: An even newer Daiwa Tatula Lt.......Silver variant?
A new Tatula CT would be nice but it would have to have something to really set it apart from the SV which is an excellent reel. I've also noticed that the SS Tournament reels seem to be selling out everywhere too. Looks like a classic spinning reel could be finally being retired.
What I really want to see is the TD-Z/OG Zillion/SV103 as a mainstay in the lineup. Make an anniversary edition, limited edition, or whatever...they just need to keep that platform around. The Tatula platform is like the Advantage platform about 10 years ago...its on everything!

I have heard a rumor about a Tatula 150, likely a CT with a deeper spool....
