This thing. The Teton is a fun stick and the Black Max 3 with its strong magnets and large range on the mag dial means that I can dial in the 10 gram Momo spool easily all the way down to controlled casting of 1/32 oz baits.
I still use this one. The Haibo Smart 50 casts 1/8 to 1/4 oz as well as a Pixy Airy Red and that crummy little Cherrywood HD has a nice taper that loads well with 1/4 total weight for such a short rod. I like it so much I'm putting together a high end combo similar to it.
I also have a 7'H Power Wall BPS Extreme that has a soft tip and a good back bone that it like a cheap, slightly slower, Orochi xx PP in taper. It was my go to frog rod before I got the PP. I still use the rod as Heavy moving bait stick.

I have the old black and orange Daiwa Black Widow II 2000 spinning reel that I love. Smooth and consistent. I never see this model for sale on any auction or fishing sites. I came with extra free spools instead of one so I also lucked out on that.

I got a bunch for my friends and myself. It's pretty handy.

Bass Pro Shops Stacey King 7' med.lite cranking rod. I bought three on sale for $79 years ago, and they are still kicking and sticking!

Remember the US Reels? The ones with the huge spools? I have three of them, use them all the time.

I also have an old BPS line picker, the one with the yellow plastic handle, and a stout tempered wire with a sharp point at 90 degrees.
It makes short work of "professional overruns".

I don't have any depth perception so rigging rods is always a challenge, even at home.
I hope that it makes my life easier.

The older Cabela's Prodigy reels, baitcasting and spinning. Made by Daiwa.

Buy a pack of these, pinch a lead bullet weight on the two tag ends and, presto, you have a shload of line threaders, for $4.BlaineFred wrote:TW, Bass Pro, and Cabelas don’t carry them. Would appreciate advice on web stores.bish0p wrote:I got a bunch for my friends and myself. It's pretty handy.

They are great for threading line through the reel's line guide, too.

Several places sell the Fuji speed threader. I think I bought it at the Rod Room.
You can also purchase it at Jann's Netcraft or Mudhole
