I had two Sol's when they first came out. I wish that I had kept them because there is so many more spool options today. My SV105 paint isn't as cool as the orange. That pearl orange color is being reintroduced on muscle cars, bicycles, and everywhere, making the Sol's look modern. Your high quality pictures bring back memories.Gone Phishin wrote:St. Croix LEC68MXF and tuned Daiwa Sol:

10-4 on the spools. I currently have an SV 105 spool in that Sol, and it rides on a Megabass Pop-X Stick...that little sucker wings 1/4oz poppers a great distance, and fairly effortlessly.
Re: Show off your stuff
I am currently having a Point Blank 69MLXF built for my SV105H. It will see some Michael, a small popper like the Pop-X, use. I had one of my Sol's from back in the day on an old school custom Phenix. I used it for small poppers, cranks, and jerkbaits for a few years. The SV spools got me back to the Alphas platform. That Megabass Pop-X Stick is cool also.Gone Phishin wrote:Good to hear my friend.toddmc wrote:I had two Sol's when they first came out. Re: Show off your stuff
Hard to follow up a boat haha. Nice rig and gear guys! This fall I decided to sell off some older gear and replace it with new equipment. First upgrade was not needed but a bit of a impulse but after fishing and selling the Calcutta Conquest 100's I really missed having a high end 5 gear Shimano. The Antares came up and although is a bit quicker than the CC100's I liked how it had a a hair more line capacity. Going to fish the Megabass DeepX-150 & 300 Primarily with this rod I still need something for ripping thru weed more a mod-fast action over a full moderate like the CBR958C DD
Then picked up a 3rd Poison Adrena this time the 7'4 Ex-Hvy to go along with my 6'10M's.
Second last upgrade was getting a couple of the Curado K 200XG's. One for Frog, Spinnerbait' & Soft Swimbait's thru heavy cover.
Next thing we are waiting for is a pair of Metaniums and a couple Conquest rods come spring. Nice thread hope more guys post there recent goodies!

Nice work matching colors. If you ever get a chance to pick up a Perfect Pitch I highly recommend it.rockchalk06 wrote:Received my Diablo Spec-R last night from the Trap.

Is that a Type R spool, I've one in mine and it's a Pop R casting machine.Gone Phishin wrote:St. Croix LEC68MXF and tuned Daiwa Sol:

When these pics were taken, I think it was the IZE spool in there.
