Carbontex Drag Washers

When you guys do your yearly reel cleaning, do you clean/wash your Carbontex drag washers, just add additional grease or nothing at all? If you clean them, what do you use to get the old grease off? Thanks in advance.

Some people will wash them off with degreaser. I personally just wipe them off with a clean rag, and re grease them.

I use an old toothbrush and simple green to clean them. Scrub them down, rinse them off well, and let air dry.
