Phenix Feather
Phenix Feather
Anyone know more about these rods? Weight/models/release date?
Im wondering if they will be any lighter than the recons...or are just recons with less materials.

Re: Phenix Feather
I hope it's a line of entirely new blanks. Kinda sounds as such.

I'm interested in these as well. I have an email out to them, hope to get some info soon.
Never purchased a built Phoenix rod, but I've built on their blanks and liked them a lot. Most of their built rods aren't quite to my spec, having short handles or not my thing aesthetically.

Priced between the Maxim and Recon. They look really good. I don't doubt that these will fish well above that price point. The blank on the Maxim sure does imo. And this one I can actually look at without spewing chunks.

I just called he said they should be out the end of October. I asked him as far as sensitivity and actions are very close to the m1

That’s interesting, as the few pics I’ve seen of the rods, the blanks look like the M1 series. I’ve built an M1 and really liked it. Will definitely get one of these to check it out.

Interested in this rod too since I've had some great experiences on the water with the M1 blank, so if it's anything like the M1 I'll definitely consider this.

I personally cannot wait for this rod to come out. I fish a Phenix Ultra MBX and I love it. But the looks of this rod looks really nice and considering how they said that it lifted a heavy weight (forgot how heavy) off the floor with a medium or medium light rod sold me.

Re: Phenix Feather
I called them the other day to ask a question about the Maxim blanks and asked about the Feather series. They said to expect them in early December.
