Whatever happened to firetiger?

Post by hungry_cow » Thu Oct 19, 2017 6:29 pm

Firetiger has always been one of my top producing crankbait colors and it used to be a standard color made for pretty much every model of crankbait. However now it seems like more crankbaits than not don't even have a firetiger color offered. Any ideas why this classic color has seemed to fall out of style?

Funny you say that, I was wondering about that too. That color produces for all species, year round.

Agree - one of the staple colors out there, works great in clear and stained water.

Even though it produces for fish, it stopped catching the fisherman. So many pretty, more modern patterns on the market today. Makes perfect sense, right?

IDk, if I wanted a firetiger color in a crankbait, I can usually find it.

What popular lure mfg doesn't offer (or stopped) making a firetiger color in their crankbait line/s?

It is the unusual color pattern that produces. I agree that it is not the first thing to catch my eye in the store, but always one of the color pattern I fish with.
slip bobbing is the laziest way to fish
