Re: Finesse jigs
If you want ones with a true finesse hook look here and try out ones 3.5 - 5g. Lots of options.

Re: Finesse jigs
The greenfish tackle ones work really well, too. They have a stand-up type head. Dicks used to have a lot of them.
This is the way.

To all the people recommending the Greenfish Itty Bitty jig, I second that. Camo is the best color.

Re: Finesse jigs
Call me crazy but shouldn't a true finesse jig not weigh over 1/4oz? Some of these jigs are close to 1/2oz. 1/16oz, 1/8oz, 3/16oz, those are real finesse sizes.

Yes, true finesse jigs are in the 1/16 to 1/8 oz range.earthworm77 wrote:Call me crazy but shouldn't a true finesse jig not weigh over 1/4oz? So of these jigs are close to 1/2oz. 1/16oz, 1/8oz, 3/16oz, those are real finesse sizes.
A 1/4 oz or 3/8 oz jig can be finesse because compact in size and have a light wire hook on the jig.
A 1/4 oz or 3/8 oz jig is going to be much easier to cast and pitch with better distance than a 1/8 oz or 1/16 oz jig.
