I have recently spooled some 30lb Maxima green on my T3 MX with 1016 spool. It is very impressive stuff. Quietest braid I have ever used. Very similar to PP Slick 8 but not as waxy. Highly recommended!

The maxxima is great line.

But the fins 40g despite it's bullshit diameter rating. Is, at least to me. Better. It's the best line ive ever used for FW. Spooling up a few stella sw, saltiga and another stella fi along with a new undisclosed baitcasters. Gonna spool up some new steez twings as well.

crap's pricey....but after more than half a season and thousands of casts...it's still performing like it was just spooled.

It's a sheathed line..and doesn't rely on coatings for it's body. I like braids that have a bit of memory retention....(not like mono) but this has enough that tip wraps are non existant...and it doesn't twist at all which is evident by the lack of twist at leader joins.
thousands of casts and not a fiber out of place....
Best casting braid i've ever used.
Great stuff..
I just got some of this in the mail, I went with the 25lb, its definitely not 4lb diameter but it seems like pretty nice braid.
Will spool it up and return later with results LOL.
It reminds me of sufix 832

I had some bad luck with the 15 smackdown, knots and mystery breakage. Went back to Gamma.

Hopefully mine does not do this, the 15 is SUPER thin though....

I'm still running Samurai on most of my casting rigs. I'll use a couple of others in a pinch but I prefer Samurai and I'm going to check out J Braid.

Ok. I took you up on your offer and ordered a 300 yd in the 50 and 150 yd in the 65. Let the testing begin.

... aaaaand that's it. Been fun, folks. I'll honor anyone who spoke up, just pm my azz and it's a done deal. I like to think I opened some eyes maybe, that's all it was from the first post. Be good.

Another vote on Seaguar smackdown here. I use the 50 lb. for pitching.

I have been getting the yellow 150yd spools online at Walmart.com. Looks like I will need to go to Maxima's website to purchase the 300's.
