Any idea what the brake lb is on 10lb and 20lb?

I been using Pline 15lb TCB 8 for a while now and its been good line, no problems except it does lose its coating rather quickly.
its not dyed, it the other heat coated stuff that flakes off, when I use it on my calcutta it really shows just how much crap comes off a line.

I will be fishing the maxima and pline together on my next outing, maxima 20lb on my CQ 101hg and Pline 15lb on my
metanium 13.

I filled both reels with new line.

In all honesty, I hope the maxima is better, even if it does cost more...
It's better. I've only fished with the Maxima twice now, but I like it much better than TCB 8. I even like the cheaper Sufix Performance braid better than the P Line. I'm still leaning toward Smackdown as top dog, but I haven't even really broken in the Maxima. We shall see......

Man........I'm really trying to find out something not to like about this line. To get my money back :)

Mind you. I'm using .006 10lb maxxima on baitcast reels.

It knots well....It's silent......like really....really reallly quiet.

I think i'm gonna pack some on a stella....and see how it holds up. Lots of things go wrong with slick high carrier lines with high tension weaves once you factor in line twist.

As it stands....this is the best 10lb braid I've ever put on a baitcast reel.
All things equal i would like to see how a 4 or 6lb would work out.

I may spool some heavier line on a saltiga or stella sw for some long distance work.

if it casts equal to fins 40g and handles twist as gracefully. I will say it's the best braid i've ever used. As fins is close to as quiet....doesn't exhibit flattening when twisted. And knots very well. And throws very...very well.

Fished it today.
First impression is-
I will be buying more, I love everything about it except one thing....the color is a bit light and it lightens up even more.
Other then that, it is about as perfect as a braid gets.

Looks like I will be buying more :big grin:

Thanks GOOD YEAR, you just cost me more money LOL..

I was looking at the maxima closer today and it seems to be more flat then round.

I have used it twice now and its been a good braid, very clean and quite.
The 20lb is a little thicker then the 15lb pline braid I'm used to, I really wish there was a 15lb maxima.

GOOD YEAR you should try the pline tcb 8 and let me know what you think, it is a bit messy at first, but after the first couple of times using it, its good to go and retains its color pretty good.

Also the pline 15lb is super strong for its size, I have never had it snap or wrap guides.

I was hoping this maxima 20lb would be thinner then the 15lb, I went off of tackle warehouse charts.

maxima 20lb .009 .22
pline .008 .22
I didn't think I would notice a difference between the two in thickness, but the pline is clearly thinner.

I am still interested in the 10lb maxima but it might be a bit to thin... :big grin:
Damn fishing OCD.

Well, I was going to use suffix Nanobraid as my main spinning line this year. So far spooled up a light power spinning rod with 6# to a leader. So far so good, but not much testing. I may need to order up some maxima to try instead.

I do not want a braid that needs connecting knots as complicated as the fg knot though. Trying the Seaguar knot and so far, so good.

I searched all of the Canadian dealers listed on the Maxima website and not one of them has maxima braid on their website. Does anyone know where in Canada I can purchase some to try? Wow! , a Canadian company that doesn't sell their braid in their own country...guess they are afraid of power pro, 832, pline, seaguar, etc.
