Well worth the wait! Absolutely brilliant work. Do you have a rod in mind for it?
Re: Type R+ project

One of the best paint jobs I've seen. Well done.

Thanks guys! I may be swapping out a couple of parts depending on how I use it. I had weightless baits in mind and bought a Super Mirage to pair it with, but with the brass gears I feel like it can be used for so much more, so I'm thinking about trying to find a Destruction if I can find one.

Awesome work

Very sharp. Are those knobs more sensitive for bottom contact baits like people claim?

Damn that reel looks amazing!
As for rod, it might feel a little light & small on a destruction, I put my zonda on one which is same weight as td-z and it felt really mismatched. But on a x4 black eisel it's right at home, and in my hands the BE feels like a mini-destruction, as many others have said. Just something to consider

At $200 it was a no-brainier. I bought it for square bills but so far it's excelled with everything I've tied on. Power wise, it feels like a 'st. Croix medium power' if that makes any sense. Action wise, the mod-fast is pretty accuatte(although I'd say it leans slightly more towards the fast side of mod-fast, where as the destruction feels like a true mod-fast). Just a really versatile rod overall.
I put the zonda on the black eisel (with a SV spool, full of 8lb flouro- total weight 6.6oz) and the balancing point is right on the front of the foregrip. I put it on the destruction and Ironically it's only a hair forward, right on the very front edge of the foregrip. It still looks and feels mismatched on the destruction though. In my hands, a Calais 200 is the perfect fit on the destruction. OG zillion and chronarch D feel pretty 'right' on it too, but not as right as a Calais 200 to me.
Anywho, sorry to get off topic. That reel will look slick on an x4 or phase 3 rod! I bet it'd look killer on one of c40 evoluzions, or or the Evergreen eva foam version kaleido rods too. He'll it'll look good on anything
