funny thing about this rod is... most people have shimano reels on them....lol
i did have a 100MG on it but now i have a z2020s with a shallow spool and upgraded bearings..

Not only is it a great frog rod but I've used it to fish skinny dippers with it as well.

Will probably buy a metanium xg for the extra speed retrieve in the future... if my favorite bankster agrees

positive. current productions of the XBD have shorter handles.
Maybe your arm grew longer, not the rod

Just to share with you 2 unexpected captures with my steez.

In a pocket of open water I had a strange miss strike (I mean strange because usually I am able to recognize a bass or a pike strike even if I not see the fish) so I insisted a bit and had the pleasure to catch these 2 french perch (I don't know how you guys name it in the US), I share with you the pics of the biggest one.

This is what I call an ambitious fish ...

One purchased shortly after release, the second bought this summer.
The handle lengths are identical on both rods.. The only similar Steez with a longer handle is the swimbait rod.
I have been trying to figure out if these are two different rods due to the similar specs (frog vs swimbait). The difference may be in the handle length. Also, the xbd frog rod is rated for braid. I am not sure if the swimbait rod is rated for braid.

My frog rod broke today and I am also in desperate need for heavy Jig rod, that I could also use for some pitching activities.

Anyone to care their opinion on this? I like the tip of the rod to be fast to extra fast in order to have accurate pitches and also walk a frog.

Thanks!

My opinion is that it is the best frog rod on the market. It is perfectly balanced and easy to throw all day. I love mine.
