Alphas or Pixy for me. I have small hands. I have no complaints with the Steez, Old Zillion, or TDZ platforms either. They all fit my hands pretty well.

Fuego/TD-Z for me. Alphas just a little small for my big hands. Actually, so is TD-Z but I'm getting used to it the more I use them.

Those are my favorites that I have used.

It is all personal preference though. Buy and try as many reels as you can.

In no particular order: 50e, pixy, tdz, steez and metanium. They all palm just fine for me. Any reel that sits low feels fine. I didn't like the tatula and I used to have a tdz 105HL that was too tall to palm comfortably.

The 50E palms very well. A 50E on a first gen Zillion rod palms extremely well. It it just not right though.

I think it depends on the person and the size of their hands. Some people with larger hands have trouble with the smaller reels fitting in their hands and not disappearing. So the 50 size reel might not be a good choice for some. Just an observation.
