Daiwa J-Braid???
I'm just wondering if anyone has any additional info other than what they posted up on FB. Ideally it would be nice to hear from someone who has fished it.

this is the latest from daiwa 12 carrier
the 8 braid tournament is one of the best so this would be the "top"

Exciting times! I'm looking forward to giving at least one of these new braids a try.

Re: Daiwa J-Braid???
12 carrier, that will be silky smooth. I find even some 8 carriers too limp for some applications, and on windy days causing tip wrap. Devastating damage if you are flipping and don't happen to notice it before you set the hook...
I bet it will be very nice finesse braid though in lighter tests.

Some pricey stuff, no doubt. Please share if you think it's worth the cost. Peace all.tioke wrote:this is the latest from daiwa 12 carrier

Great stuff but very high end. Will see a lot of use on the saltwater side. Might give people without much experience with braid fits.
Re: Daiwa J-Braid???
Who sells them as of right now?

The J-Braid is now available and it's incredibly affordable.

Wow thank you for the link. Was going to buy some super slick today too. I'll give these a shot and compare.

Re: Daiwa J-Braid???
That's great news. Unfortunately for me, the lb. test I use is not yet available at Monster. I'm very interested in how it compares to Samurai and even though I happily pay Samurai prices for Samurai, its nice that the J is less expensive. If anyone spots it in 80 lb. green, please let me know, thank you.

I know you mentioned above that this stuff is pricey but damn that's high.
Re: Daiwa J-Braid???
How it compares to Samurai is a concern for me as I have been using Samurai exclusively for many years. Regrettably, I no longer have any use for Samurai since they discontinued it in High-Vis Yellow. The J-Braid is also an 8-strand braid but it's considerably cheaper. The big question is WHY ?Toadslayer72 wrote:I'm very interested in how it compares to Samurai and even though I happily pay Samurai prices for Samurai, its nice that the J is less expensive.

Re: Daiwa J-Braid???
Anybody use this stuff yet? I want to try some but figured I'd check out some reviews first. I use light braid, so I'd be getting 15-20 lb.
Re: Daiwa J-Braid???
Daiwa is dropping most of their prices is probably why. All their 2015 offerings are priced a lot better than the previous years.
