Ugh, I dont know what I need it for, but I need it. And the 6.3....going to be an expensive year again.cndbasshunter wrote:Purplespookybaits wrote:I noticed the SV103 6.3 model has gold accents. I wonder if the 7.9 will be red or purple?
Also the name... With the ss sv 103, and the sv 103 steez spool, Surely they won't just call it 'SV 103'? I can see that getting a little confusing

There will be a 7.9:1 Steez SV in 2015? And it will also be purple? Where is this info?Teal101 wrote:Ugh, I dont know what I need it for, but I need it. I need that
Re: New 2015 Steez SV
Yea...I am confused somewhat...are they just saying the Steez EX with a 105 sv and a 109 spool will throw lighter baits then the SV103 spool?
That is not surprising.....what I am now curious about is why would a EX need to be brought into the discussion at all ?
Are the spools from this NEW Steez SV103...narrower in width?
Why not just put the 105 and 109 into the NEW Steez SV Frame for the comparison of weight.
If everything is the same as far as dimensions of the Steez...then the 109 and 105's will fit any steez BC reels....right?
The KTF 109 and for that matter the 105 spool does not matter if you wish to throw lighter baits with them 3 grams or less without the right rod....and USDM Steez Rod line only has the Steez and Tatula Megatop (basically same rods). They need the Harrier-Finesse to be included in their NEW USDM lineup.

Re: New 2015 Steez SV
Yea, im looking at spool options for my IS71. Was going to be the sv105 for how versatile it is, but this 109 spool looks awesome and would really pair well with my criffhanger
Re: New 2015 Steez SV
Holy crap that 109 spool is light for its size O_O
I don't have a proper rod with my Metanium 13 with KTF spool (CR722 IMX) but I am still able to get decent distance throwing a 1/16oz keitech jig. I think reel > rod for BFS.E73Bass wrote:

Re: New 2015 Steez SV
If you are getting good distance then you are using the right rod. A 722 is a Med Light soft tip. Try doing that same setup on a heavy or med hvy flip stick or rod rated at low end of 3/8 oz.There is a Reason they used the megatop rod for this review.
Re: New 2015 Steez SV
The 722 is still not that great for 1.8g jigs, but I can whip it out there with the upgraded spool. I agree with you that you do need a light rod; I just think its more important to have the spool.E73Bass wrote:If you are getting good distance then you are using the right rod. What do you consider good distance for a BFS setup?E73Bass wrote:If you are getting good distance then you are using the right rod. A 722 is a Med Light soft tip.
