I am wondering why the 200 gained so much weight? The 100 gained 5g going from regular to HG and got a longer handle. The 200 gained 25g with the same length handle. They both got the "exciting" drag clicker according to shimano but I don't see how that could add nearly an oz and only to the larger model. Was interested in a 201 HG but 265g is getting heavyish for my planned use.

I believe you need to rethink the lineup since the new 2014 CQ100/101 replaces the 50/51 reels now. I pre-ordered 2 2015 CQ 101 HG (6.8:1) which only adds about 5g in weight while adding a longer handle over the 2014 CQ 101 (5.2:1).

I could swear i saw somewhere that hedgehog was working on a 7 ratio for the new conquest. Looks like shimano beat them to the punch

Thats fair. Its just 25g heavier than the 2014 Conquest 200 according to Shimano. I had wondered if they had published a mistake. The regular 200 is 240g and the 200HG is 265g according to their own specs. Surely a different set of gears isn't adding this much weight, I wonder what else they have changed from the standard model.
