iRod: opinions?
iRod: opinions?
Same as the Cousins rods post I made...I'm thinking of trying a new rod company to save a little money on a heavier stick? And you know being a tackle junkie, when you haven't fished something, and it's kind of low key "indie type stuff" it just makes it that much more tempting

I love my Irod! A 7'11" 'Fred's Crank Launcher'
Re: iRod: opinions?
LOVE All 3 of my Airs! 702,703,754. Not quite JDM detail but very good for a U.S. market rod!
Did I mention, THEY'RE LIGHT! They're all versatile, with big power. I'd say the ratings are about advertised a 1/2 power lighter then actual, not that this is a major concern because they're soo damn light and small diameter blanks!

Re: iRod: opinions?
ive got the genesis II bubs punch rod and its great. not super sensitive but the taper is absolutely perfect and the braid makes up the sensitivity the rod lacks.
Re: iRod: opinions?
Big bubs punch fan and I rarely use it in super heavy cover/over 1oz. That rod has that "mojo" we all look for. Cant fish it for more then an hour without a 3-4lber hopping into the boat.
Re: iRod: opinions?
Pssshhh... BTW , I have a IROD air 703 for sale in the classifieds ; )
Re: iRod: opinions?
I love all my Gen2's, have about 13. For the price it is a great rod. The actions are dead on for the technique they design them for. Fred's Magic stick is about as versatile as they come. Flip, frog, light punch, swimbait, etc.
