Bantam1 mentioned that there were some new stuff coming out this year. Now we have to wait to see what the full releases will be.
All these are 9/1 retrieve

That's 9/1 bearings. Retrieves are in the 2nd column, 6.2, 7.4, 8.5, etc.Zimbass wrote:Bantam1 mentioned that there were some new stuff coming out this year. Now we have to wait to see what the full releases will be.

Both reels look sick. Pretty sure I need these in my life. Ready for the Osaka show to see more details. The tooling for the Aldebaran would make for a sweet Chronarch CI4+ 50, or a Curado 50I.

Thanks tywithay. My Japanese not great, and eyesight even worse.

Is that 4.8oz for the Aldebaran? The DC is a must have.

Those knobs on the Aldebaran look Lews and Tatula like.

I find it interesting that all of the Shimano reels seem to be individual designs now whereas Daiwa is kinda going toward the shared frame for multiple models direction now. Kinda just the opposite of a few years ago.

I think your math is right. Crazy.Phippy wrote:Is that 4.8oz for the Aldebaran? The DC is a must have.

It could be where the adjustment for SVS infinity is.Bootytrain wrote:I don't see an external DC adjustment dial? I hope its not on the inside

Yup, only adding one more adjustment ove the current I-DC4 making it a I-DC5 perfect location for it.

I think I need to see more pictures of the Aldebaran because (don't get mad) that thing does not look nice IMO. The 4.8oz weight is pretty nuts though.
The Met DC on the other hand looks amazing!
