Best Lure for Dock Skipping???
I am trying to improve my dock skipping, and I would appreciate some advice on lures, etc.
Thanks.
Thanks.

The Strike King Hack Attack jig in 3/8oz skips very well provided you have an appropriate trailer. I like the NetBait Kickin' B.

GYCB Fat Ika. It's a solid body tube that skips for days!
How are you trying to skip? Pitch-skip or sidearm?

Thanks for the tip.
I will be skipping in both pitch and sidearm.
I looked up the Fat Ika, and I will buy some.
Do you add any weight, and if so, how do you add it?

No weight. Being a solid tube and a GYCB, it's pretty dense all by itself.
I've never tried pitch skipping it but I learned skipping side arm with this bait. Rig it backwards, skirt in top.

Will give it a go when the weather improves here in Maryland.legendaryyaj wrote:No weight. Being a solid tube and a GYCB, it's pretty dense all by itself.

Senko wacky rigged with an o ring. I find this rig almost never needs adjusting while other rigs need to be regularly re-rigged from the stress of skipping. I find that the genuine senko also has just the right weight to skip easily but get down 8-10 ft under deeper docks without waiting forever.
