Edge Rods (gary loomis) anybody fished it yet/

I was gonna get the dobyns zayta or megabass, but man that rod looks almost like my ideal rod for jig.

7'8' up to 1oz for lures.

No uneeded clear coat, excess pait on blanks. Handle is carbon fiber so less weight more sensitive. Also quality blanks from Gary the man himself.

Curious to see what your thoughts on it and compare to other rods that you may have fished. Any feedback would be appreciated.

Don't quite know what you're referring to but both the TW and the Edge site can provide images of the rods and confirm which have triggers (basically all casting thru medium heavy, beyond triggerless) and which don't. Also, plz call them (ask for Steve) to confirm what they will and won't do for you on a custom build, anything else is just hearsay.

Good point. Gary's website confirms his flipping rods don't have a trigger

I went through their custom build, and could not find the same blank option 7'8" in fast action up to 1oz.

When I am make final decision and I am ready, will call them.

Yes, i notice the flipping rods has no trigger as well on the edge site.

However going through the custom build it came out a little cheaper on the edge site, however of course then u dont have the same prices like you would with TW to help save...

I spent a good hour on the phone talking fishing & rods. Everyone whom works for Gary at Edge drinks the same cool-aid and I’ll admit I enjoyed talking with them. I am ordering a custom rod, should be ready in about 4 weeks. I’ll give my thoughts on the process and the rod when it arrives and I get to fish with it.
