The megabass Jon boat / bass boat was cool. Check out the link to these rigs..........I like them. To bad it would cost nearly as much as my Ranger 619VS to import................. http://www.souther.org/395/index.htm

I got to agree, these are super cool!!!!!!!

There used to be a company that sold a 15' glass boat that was decked out and used a tiller, but I can't remember what the company was. I think they ran somewhere around $8K.

I don't fish anywhere that I need a big boat or big motor, but I do love the look of the big rigs. I'm 6'4", 250 lbs and clumbsy as hell, so it would be nice to have something that stable to fish out of. I make due with my Lund 1436MV, but you can bet that if the trolling motor is running I'm planted on the butt seat!!!

Now that is the deal. What do they charge for them? That focus boat looks nice too. The pond boats sold here look like crap...I want to stand and fish as well as use a foot controlled trolling motor. I don't want the weight of a jon boat. Is there anything like this in the US yet?

I was under the impression that boat was a jon boat, just rigged. How much does it weigh?

As far as rigging a boat like that - you're probably gonna have to do it yourself, I did one, and more recently, a guy posted on here one he did.

I doubt any of the exporters will be willing to arrange to send this over to the US. First of all, only a limited number of retailers exist, and it takes months before you can actually buy it (waiting list). I'm actually thinking of buying the non-Megabass version of the boat.
It's called the "Focus Pointer" and version 2 that's coming out this year, 12~3ft boat made out of carbon fiber rated at 20hp, and so light that it can be hand carried    (yes, ultimate car topper)

Can't wait to try it out in those hard to get your boat in secret bass ponds ;)

[edit]

Here's a link to the manufacturer
Did you price this boat out? I imagine it will be painful.

I gotta agree, those are way cool however; single person capacity? The low weight would sure make storage easy though, prop it up against the wall!

Not as roomy as a bassboat, but two people can fish out of it.
