After the ICAST show the rods have been revised for 2 things:

1) weight of the rods are now only 3.2 ounces
2) Price... they were able to work things out and price the rods at $150
.
JIP

Two different animals in regards to the Carrot Stix @ $350.00 and the Carrot Stix LTX @ $150.00 per the e-mail I got from E21 yesterday.

Thanks for your interest in e21
The Carrot Stix LTX is not the same as the Carrot Stix, the Ltx has a weight port but it is not
a screw cap rather it is a Button cap, remove the cap and the port is there.
The price of $149.99 is correct for the LTX ONLY delivery on the LTX is 6 weeks and
the Edge and Classic Gold are to ship from the factory on November 21st
Hope this helps and if you have any more just ask.

This is the response I got when I sent an e-mail to E21 yesterday:

Edge is 190.00
Boyd Duckett 300.00
Carrot 350.00
Thanks Speckled - think the LTX for a buck and a half will be a great deal!

Dang, do a search for LTX looking for a particular Kistler post and get a Carrot Stick post. I guess Ken must have liked the name. LOL Just a curious question, but I noticed that the Carrot stick has the same hook hanger as the Kistler but just located a little different, won't your line hang up on it placed like that? Just curious.....

Delo's will be carrying the carrots. http://www.deloscustomtackleshack.com/r ... tstick.htm

I believe the regular carrot will have the solid handle, same as the Puls-R. The LTX has a small piece of foam on the handle. Delo's is checking with Ken tonight.

Although the model numbers listed are different the model for sale on the e21 site is the same model Delo's is selling, the parabolic. Note that at Delo's you get FR$EE shipping.

I wonder how the stix 6'9"MH compares to my Puls_r since they seem to be about the same rod just 50 $ less then the airrus.. :?

The deflection on the Puls-R is comparable to most other rods. The deflection on the carrot LTX parabolic model should be interesting as it is designed to bend the full length of the rod.

To clarify, I am speaking about the casting rod. Watch the video on the e21 web site. http://www.e21fishing.com/. They talk about and demonstrate the deflection.

The rod is described as a 6' 9" casting rod with a parabolic action, excellent for crankbaits, top water, spinner baits and jerk baits. If you look at the catalog on the LTX it does show many models with different actions, fast, medium fast and parabolic. The parabolic is the first casting rod released.

i was wondering when nanotubes were gonna be incorporated into fishing rods, now we just need to add a little boron and we'll have reached the limits of our technology.

I'm glad everyone seems interested in the rods. When Ken told me that the Carrot Stix LTX were only going to be 3.2 ounces, I thought he was messing with me.
Thats going to be one hell of a crankbait rod. Parabolic action with unbelievable weight.
It is great that the two models will be coming out so soon- I can't wait to get one in my hands.

Eh I could care less about the crank stick since I have one of the sweetest ones made, but I'm real curious about the MH fast action one that "might" replace my Puls-R or just make it to the line-up with the Sol id have to get to match it HAH. They do look interesting though and man are they Orange! The parabolic one should be a nice stick being its 3.2oz and thats super light for a "crank" rod.

Are there any other rods, not just cranking sticks, that are lighter than 3.2 ounces?
I did a little research browsing the reviews and didn't have any that I found right away, but then again I didn't have much time to research........something called homework always gets in the way............

CMON SUMMERRR!!!
