Shimano clothing

Post by husker 1 » Fri Jun 29, 2007 9:13 am

Shimano Australia has some really cool looking shirts, hats, beanies, etc.

Is their a reason that Shimano US carries almost nothing as far as clothing? :x I would be willing to do some free advertising for Shimano but I have been unable to find anywhere on the web that is selling the Shimano Australia clothing. Help?

Australia has odd import/export laws. We will not bring in their products due to these laws.

We are looking into the clothing market and I really hope we at least offer a T-Shirt.

I feel your pain and I am on the accessory team more than you realize. We have several requests and I am not sure if/when we will have shirts.

Along with my Shimano reel collection I have a fishing shirt such as pictured on those hook setting, fish fighting, bent back models you used to use in the early 1980s, and a nice sweatshirt that you also offered 15-20 years ago. Shimano American Corp. has been in the clothing business before.

I also have a Bantam cooler that I can use to carry my beer, if I really want to look like a reel old geezer.

Yes we did offer clothing. At some point before I started we left the clothing behind. Maybe sales related? I'm not sure but I will find out when I get back into the office.

get them from Japan although they are not the same as the Australian ones. They are a pretty penny though.

The sizing in Japan is different than here. Double check before you order anything. An XL over there is similar to a M or L.

I loved the old simple white T's with the blue shimano log0s they use to offer through the Shimano Club. (no longer in op). The last 2 I purchased were $10 bucks each.
When I grow up, I want to be like Cal
