Some Colorado Hawgs

Man what a day!These days don't happen too often in Colorado.Caught two 7 pounders and a 6.5.Killed my personal best by 3 pounds.

Congrats, those are some Toads, but, we like to see the tackle you used too you know.

Dang those are some THICK bass. They have to be fatter then they are longer. :shock:

Wow.. what did you catch them on? Looks like they have a full belly. Are those Florida Strain?

Those are definitely Northern Strains...the biggest will get as wide as long due to short growing seasons and long life spans.

Those are true toads!! Looks like the ones that come out of Carter Lake and some of the other local ponds.

All fish were caught on a 3/8 pepper Jig with a zoom super salty chunk trailor.Colors I used were Junebug,Green Pumpkin and Black.My rig was a Gloomis BCR803 paired with a Steez.Steez was spooled up with 15lb P-Line Halo.

Very nice fish! The water seems very clear from those pictures. Could you see the fish when you were trying to catch them? Or just sort of fan casting the jig out there amongst the cover? Just curious.. :)

Great job!! It's always nice to catch a new personal best...especially when you shatter your old PB... :lol: Unfortunately, it's been almost 2 years since I've topped mine, but hopefully my day is coming..
