My New Toi

Post by skinhead » Mon Apr 23, 2007 6:31 am

Hi Guys,

Thought I'd share some pic's of my latest acquisition. Having had my Daiko Euphoria destroyed a couple of week ago, I invested in a Major Craft Toi Tsu MSS-602UL via Plat. It took 3 days from shipping to reach England, and 4 days to cover the final 30 miles.

Still, after spending 10 mins removing it from the packaging I was confronted with a high quality, if somewhat large rod sock. Inside were the two sections, again wrapped in copious amounts of bubble wrap.

On first inspection I was struck by the similarity to my MB F2-64XS. From the rod sock being in the same material, to the "feel" of the carbon. The transition from a woven blank to wrapped blank is almost identical. It could be from the same factory, the similarities are that close.

The guides are Fuji Titanium SiC, and each is wrapped with black and red silk that is seperated by a twin wrap of almost subdued magenta. There is also a triple wrapped accent of gold at the rear of each.

The reel seat is a black / grey marbled downlocking Fuji, where the foregrip is the rotating locking section. The foregrip has red and gold accents to the rear and a gold winding check to the front. The inner section of the seat sports a silver winding check.

The grip is of very high grade cork, again equalling my MB. It has a fixed red and gold counter weight. The end of this is protected by a rubber collar. This collar has a gold, etched insert.

The detailing is absolutely spot on with no faults that I can find.

Anyway, here are the pic's. Enjoy.

Simon
