The TackleTour Forums server suffered a catastrophic failure at our host facility that trickled all the way through our backups. As a result, we've lost over two year's worth of content including all new, registered users since that time.

If you registered after April 2008, please re-register.

BUMMER! A big Thank you to you and the rest of the TackleTour crew for getting the forum back up and running. I felt lost for the last few days.

I originally joined in Sept 08 and had around 190 posts at the time of the crash. Do we still need to have 100 posts to list items for sale in the for sale section?

Because of what happened the post count restrictions will not be effective immediately.

so if i had 88 posts before the crash i will have to start all over again? just not immediately?

If you had 8888 posts, you are now at 1 if you joined in the last two years. Those of us who joined before that are back to the post count we held two years ago.

Wow that's a horrible loss, the online and the backups??? Luckily I had 1 post prior to the loss date. LOL.

Can you do anything about pm's?thanks!

I actually have all the posts and PM's from the forum before it got wiped out.
The thing is, I don't have the users and topics databases. There's no way to link the posts to the 2008 user database as many ID's are missing and topics, I have already read there's no way to regenerate them from the posts.

PM's are all encrypted. I'll see if I can find anything out on how to decrypt them. See, now you know, we cannot read your PM's.

For the posts, what I'll try to do when I fix all the bugs of this forum is to grab all the stickies we had. Some of those were very valuable info to us all. That will take some time though. IF you happen to remember some of the subjects of important stickies, please post here, then it'll make searching a lot easier.
