Looking to try a 13 rod

Post by Kingpin » Mon Jul 02, 2018 7:47 pm

Im a tournament fisherman and I have been using Loomis rods for sometime. I have wanted to try a couple of the 13 rods and do a little head to head comparison. What 7'+ rod would be recommended for a 3/8 tube? I like light blanks and quality guides. Thanks for your time.

To throw a 3/8oz tube we recommend the new 7'3" MH Envy Black(EB2C73MH casting or EB2S72MH).

I have the rod he mentions above and I love it, I have used several 13 black envy's and liked them all. I personally would go medium power not medium heavy for the tubes I throw.
I would recommend them. Great rod for the money.

Only problem is they are currently being redesigned so they are discontinued. You can however find them second hand or on ebay still. On another note you can get envy greens still and they are awesome as well.
