Frog rods?

Post by Finnz922 » Sun Jul 27, 2014 1:34 pm

You need 7'2" H frog rod in your line-up. I like that most of your rods have shorter handles and hopefully if you guys release a frog rod you will leave the handles alone. I really like the 7'2" Omen Green and that rod with smaller guides and in heavier power would be perfect. The tip is great on the Omen Greens, I actually prefer it to the Blacks. It has become my go-to rod for all my t-rig presentations. Now that I say that just ad to the Green line-up even though their inshore rods. You need a powerful frog rod and a punch rod.

Finnz,

Thank you for the note, we actually have a 7'2" and a 7'5" Frog rod in development for the Envy Black series. We hoped to have it finished by now, but we had a few delays on some tooling of the seat. They are coming...

additionally we did show off a new 8' XH flipping and punching rod at ICAST. Expect it to be on racks at retailers this spring.

The 7'2 mh omen green makes a nice frog rod. I have the 7'7 and I can cast any hollowbody in my box. Thing has tremendous power too. I fish saltwater mostly and it turns slot size reds pretty easily.

Any updates on the Frog rod series and also, is it going to follow the Envy pricing?

We appreciate the enthusiasm for our products and eagerness in getting a hold of a frog rod.

At the time they are still in development. As development progresses, we will have more information on pricing but we need to get past the next few steps in the prototype testing process before we have a better idea on the pricing structure.

The frog rod has temporarily been put back in the pond for further development.

We do have the 8XH Envy Flipping rod launching March 1st.
