Why not a true quality UL spinning reel

Looking at the JDM websites Daiwa produces many mid range quality UL spinning reels (Aegis 1003 size for example) so don't Daiwa US have a 1003 or 1025 size quality spinning reel. Sure would like to have a smaller quality spinning reel than a 1500 size one.
