IS this reel being discontinued? Seeeing it being discounted at retailers (Tackle Warehouse)?

I do apologize for the late response. I have not been informed of the PX-R being discontinued. If the status changes I will let you know.

Any updates on the status of the Pixy? I have noticed many places (such as Tackle Warehouse) no longer even shows it up the Daiwa section.

Will Daiwa US be bringing any light weight shallow spool reel out to replace the Pixy Type R such as the Alpha SV?

At the moment I don't have that information. They will usually provide that information to us around the ICAST show.
