Daiwa Repair Surprise

Post by Parafish » Mon Feb 17, 2014 6:32 pm

At the end of last season, my 7 year old Zillion SHA was feeling rather grunchy, so a few days ago I sent it to Daiwa reel repair in Cypress with directions to do whatever was necessary to make it smooth again. Tonight I arrived home and found a UPS delivery on my front steps. The enclosed invoice noted a bearing was replaced, NO charges were made for parts or labor, and the reel feels as good as new. A small gesture perhaps, but one that will keep me a Daiwa fan (and customer).

Very cool, it is always great to hear about the one of the Big guys taking care of their customers.

That is excellent! I am happy to see that Daiwa is adopting client care, in the form of what Shimano has done for decades. =D>
