Replacement Zaion hood/clutch button for T3

Hi,

I have a 3 month old T3 SV that failed at the side of the hood plate.
I was informed that the SV did not sell a replacement part and was told to ship back to Japan.

Would a t3 ballistic hood plate be able to substitute the current reel?

U can order a ballistic or t3 1016 good from daiwa, I was quoted $40-50 from daiwa last month.
